I began by designing and making bonsai pots by hand to match to specific trees in my own collection. Other enthusiasts noticed, liked them, and I started getting commissions. I enjoy pottery and bonsai and love the creative challenge of bringing the two together. So if you like a hand-sculpted, slightly rustic style then my pots might suit your tree. I am thrilled to have won the inaugural Kiwi Bonsai Ceramics competition in 2021, for mid-sized pots, with the “Rainbow Pot”, pictured.

I made 55 individual accent pots for the 2021 NZBA convention goodie bags. These were around 50mm to 80mm in size. They are all marked, as space allowed, with “NZBA, Convention ‘21, ABS, MC”.

This is part of the charm of hand crafted, unique pieces, but rest assured if you don’t like the result, you won’t be required to purchase it.
